Made for people on the ADHD spectrum
Uchwytki are multifunctional handles that do more than just open cabinet doors — they serve as a hanger, magnet, jar, or even a timer when needed.
Made using 3D printing, Uchwytki offer an affordable and simple way to upgrade old cabinets, with the flexibility to adjust for different filaments and dimensions.
Their goal is to engage dopamine-fueled ADHD brain in housework, a seemingly dull and unstimulating activity, by adding a fun twist to it. Hence the playful design inspired by toys.
Each Uchwytka consists of two parts: a front rim (8 cm in diameter) with the extra functions attached, and a back screw cap to hold it in place. This solution is perfect for those who like to rearrange frequently.
Prototypes were developed as part of my studies at the School of Form USWPS, where I researched the concept of glee.
The project was later featured in The New Generation exhibition at Gdynia Design Days 2024.
